Hi everybody. It's our day off, but we seem to always end up at work. The curse of having your own business, i guess. So, something cool that we got in today, kosher/parve jelly beans, sour jelly beans, and jujus (bees)! So for all of you gummi candy addicts, come on down. Time to go do 2 month's worth of laundry...
Hi all. Emiko here. Taking care of the store while Chad is out enteraining his best friend in town for the weekend. Our other friend, Nik is here too, they're both from NYC, our old hometown before we moved here to PDX. It's kind of slow, and I'm crocheting. Old lady work.
We are open today. Thought you should know that. Be kind to our day-help Paul, he's British and doesn't know any better.
Anybody have any extra paper grocery bags taking up space in your closet? We sure could use some. Much love.
It's official. Marshmallows are back. As are steam buns, one of our favorite things in the store, cheap and filling and tasty. You can relax now.
So, check this out. These guys will send you an email, you click a link, and they donate money/resources to animal causes. Just signed up for one that will help spay/neuter strays in the Galapagos Islands. Thanks to IDA for the info.
Check this out. Nice little write up on us and a good recipe. Thanks Kim.
Normally, Food Fight! policy dictates that we take the side of the shark in all shark/human disputes, but this is still really cool.
Nothing like getting up early to meet the delivery truck and sitting here in a sleepy stupor and drinking coffee and waiting and waiting and waiting. Truck is over an hour late so far. And waiting and waiting and waiting.... NPR monotone induced coma.... Today is supposed to be my day off....
So, accorting to our UPS tracking number, we should get more marshmallows back in stock Wednesday, the 24th. Hopefully in time for you to come in and stock up for the candied yams and hot cocoa and rice krispy treats and crap like that. Probably after noon.
Hi there. Finally, we have a new site up and running. Thanks Dave (http://burningtime.com/) for all the tech help. The idea now is for you guys to keep checking in to see what's new and what's happening and stuff like that. Hopefully we can keep up with things on our end. Make sure and check out the PDX Guide. We'll be working on this more to have a more thorough resource for vegan eating in town.
And, hopefully very soon we'll be adding some online shopping to help us pay the bills around here. Anyway, thanks for stopping by, and let us know what you think. xoxo Chad and Emiko
