Hell yes. Thanks to Jennifer and Richard Pryor. Check out his
t-shirt section on his site. Especially the last one.
An Authentic Life: Richard Pryor’s Official Biography: "Richard Pryor may be sidelined by MS, but he is so adamantly opposed to the use of animals in researching even his disease that he used his Christmas card to discourage donations to charities that still fund such tests. He's been honored by PETA, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, for saving baby elephants in Botswana targeted for circuses. In 2000, as the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus was preparing to open at Madison Square Garden, Pryor gave the Big Top's first African-American ringmaster something to think about. 'While I am hardly one to complain about a young African American making an honest living,' Pryor wrote in a letter to Jonathan Lee Iverson, 'I urge you to ask yourself just how honorable it is to preside over the abuse and suffering of animals.'
Pryor also crusaded against Burger King with Alec Baldwin. They sent letters asking owners of Burger King franchises to use their clout to get the fast-food corporation to meet or exceed the animal welfare standards set by its chief competitor, McDonald's."
So, hooray for
Primal Spirit Foods. We asked, they donated. Some jerky heading over to the SHAC7 kids free of charge. Write Primal Spirit and tell 'em thanks for the support. And buy there product.
Also, big props to
Bumble Bar. They're sending goodies too. Make sure you let them know you appreciate it.
And thanks to everybody else who has
donated the last couple of days. It's really adding up.

See...
Get involved before it's too late.
Saturday, May 28, 2005
Hey. Click on the link. Send us money. We'll get it to those in need.
Things are gonna be rough on these folks and we have to help out as much as we can. Get pissed. Get involved. Ask PETA, HSUS, and the other big animal rights groups why they aren't doing more (or anything) to support them.
And don't think this crackdown on SHAC won't affect you. Whether or not you agree with SHAC's tactics, sending these people to jail for "speech crimes" is just the first step in getting activists around the country to shut up. And that's not good for anybody.
Thanks for reading. And caring.

Ok jerks. You asked for it. We've added Skittles to our online store. Do with that info what you will.
From a friend. NEW RESTAURANT!!!
"Arabian Breeze is the new Nicolas' (Lebanese) restaurant on 32nd and Broadway, hellof vegan options (some with honey though). The bread is awesome, instead of being baked in an oven and getting fluffy its make on a hot rock, its chewy and delicious. Go there."
New issue of Bite Back is here now. Some come buy one. They're only $1.50. Some useful info in this one about activism and rights and such.

Hey you guys. Let's show this guy some support. Shoot him a letter, a book, or something to help him get through his time in prison.
Peter Young was arrested on March 21st in San Jose, CA. He has been
"WANTED" since 1998 after being indicted on charges of violating the
Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act by releasing mink from five Midwestern fur farms.
We're gonna try our best to get this stuff in the store. Really...no shit.
We're back
Hi there. It's Chad and Emiko. You might have noticed (maybe not) that we've been gone. We took a last minute stress-relieving vacation for the past week or so. Hope all of you have been well while we've been away. Come in and see our new tans!

We got some good information from some friends for important people to call about the Denver pit bull round up that is going on this very moment killing lots of harmless dogs and making families have to give up their family members. Let's make calls, emails, and letters to change this bullshit.

We are currently crapping our pants in anticipation. We just got a blurb in the PETA Caring Consumer E-news email. Will we get a ton of orders? Will life spiral out of control? Will we get more people calling us Nazi's since we totally hate George Bush? Some will smile. Others will frown. Who shall come out on top? Only time will tell.
We ripped this link off of our friend
Chris's site. He rules. As does this poster art.
We just found this out today. It looks like the products we have currently don't fall in those expiration dates, so we believe we're safe. But we do apologize for any tainted fake meats we sold unknowingly within those dates. We ate some, too, so we can reset our vegan clocks together. We're at a loss. What should we do? We guess we have to have faith that they corrected their mistakes. Or quit selling their products? What do you guys think? xoxo emiko and chad
"Look at the dogs that have been impounded, and the surnames of their owners. . . . They aren't killing dogs from Cherry Creek. They pick on the easiest people to pick on, the ones who give up easiest," he said, adding that he has forwarded this claim to the American Civil Liberties Union.

Potluck.
"My friends and I are holding a vegan pot luck this sunday, 5/15/05, at the north park blocks by the elephant statue. It should start at 3:00pm. I was hoping you could help us get the word out."
Our thoughts and well wishes are with Mr. David Chappelle in South Africa. Come back to us Dave.

We're Nazis!!!
Just got this email. Good to see we're pissing off the right people:
Comments: I found your website through PETA and thought it would be great to shop online for vegan food. I am absolutely appalled by your anti Bush sentiments. Not everybody that is a vegan hates the president, and I don't feel that you need to share your politic beliefs on a website for FOOD. I certainly will not be shopping with you Nazis.

I hate your guts.

"reported that President Bush had firmly made up his mind to invade Iraq and overthrow Saddam Hussein, adding that 'the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy'."
